Unintentional

Well, it's gonna be more sleeping baby pictures for you....not that I planned it that way.

I made up a little bed in a kitchen nook so I can keep an eye on her while I get my food made for the upcoming hot lunch at school and holiday parties this weekend.

Because Lil Miss Sugah Lump is the next one at our house to get the sickies.  And I like to be there to catch it in the bowl if I can.  And hold her hair back and rub her back and let her see me while she rests.

Poor little one.  Yet I'm so glad God designed this mechanism, to get those sickies out, before they do more damage.  He thinks of everything, doesn't He?

Please 'scuse the messy counters...lots of projects happen in the kitchen

"sleep in heavenly peace..."

Is there anything sweeter than a sleeping child?

Catching Up

While I try to catch up around here...on groceries and dishes and laundry and cooking down lard...and making beds and cleaning the bathroom and building a fire to warm our house...

Here are a couple pictures to share with you, and some to remember, just for me.  Just a little taste of life here. :)  Nothing special, just every-day, and yet, special in themselves, as living here every day is a blessing in itself.

Great Is Thy Faithfulness

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
There is no shadow of turning with Thee,
Thou changest not, Thy compassions they fail not,
As Thou hast been,Thou forever wilt be.

Great is Thy faithfulness!

Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see
 All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me!

Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon, and stars in their courses above;
Join with all nature in manifold witness,
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy, and love.

Great is Thy faithfulness!
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me!

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thine own great presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today, and bright hope for tomorrow
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside.

Great is Thy faithfulness!
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me!

Healing

The seasonal sickies are going through our house this week, so the focus is on healing and resting and washing and washing and did I say washing?

Nonetheless, a clean house and clean beds and clean children are always a good thing, right?

A special thank you to Aunt Lois for cheering our day with a fun box of clothes!

And to Grandma for dropping by with Gatorade and yogurt and cereal.  We love you!

Pretty Christmas dresses from Aunt Lois...can you see the puke bucket in the back?  :P
Oh the fun of dressing up!
