Shawn brought home some wax from work he'd been saving from unpacking delicate electrical parts.

All we had to do was melt it, dye it with old crayons, and add some essential oils...

Isn't my Christmas cactus pretty?! It's so happy in its new soil and pot (made by my dad), that it bloomed twice this year!
First at Christmas and again at Easter! What a treat. :)

Meet Zippy

He's the newest, furriest member of our family.

For Celene's birthday (which is next week),

her family members chipped in to get her a much-begged-for little hamster.

She's quite in love with this little guy and is taking very good care of him.

In fact, I think we are all enamored with him. He's cute and charming!
