Last Week

we puppy-sat Grandma's dog Charlotte for an afternoon...Celene entertaining her with bubbles

Charlotte meeting Hammie

Eli and Mocha...too much cuteness

Hannah got herself and the go-cart so muddy Celene had to take a photo

Shawn's picture of Eli and Theo working very hard together to try to get the tractor running

Theo drawing on scrap wood with sidewalk chalk ;)

Eli preaching to a captive audience

Theo practicing building skills

caught a goofy expression but he was proud of himself for catching this hen who escaped

Happy 11th Birthday Celene!

She was 11 on April 13th...
and this is the first year she requested her favorite friends join her for her special birthday treat!
Oh, the delights of growing up!!
Happy birthday, my dearest, eldest daughter.
It's been a joy getting to experience the blessing of you.

despite the cold, the girls spent most of their time together playing outside!

Pigeon River

After a few appointments last week, we took some time to stop by the Pigeon River.
Who can resist a flowing river to play with?

LIFT Club Bridge Competition

Miles and Celene entered the LIFT bridge building competition last month.
They had to be built using popsicle sticks and glue only, with paint for design.
They were judged on strength and creativity.

Celene took home the prize for creativity!

This is Miles' bridge holding up an entire bucket of bricks! His never broke!

Here is Miles' winning bridge for strength :)

Pearl Likes Spring Too

Celene took Pearl out to enjoy the sunshine Saturday afternoon.
After kicking up her heels in delight, she settled down and enjoyed some nibbles of grass.

Bike Ride and River Visit

Last week, the kids and I made use of a warmer(ish) sunny day to take our second bike ride this spring!
We biked a good distance to where a local river meets with a road about a mile away.
However, with the steep hills and our winter (not-in-shape) figures, we were tired!
Anyway, we all enjoyed the fast-rushing spring river.
