New (Old) Machinery

Last week, Shawn came across an old hay bale-ing machine for a good price.
As we have recently lost our contact for helping us with our hay and sharing the bounty,
we have been pressured to work on harvesting our hay ourselves.
As with any old equipment, it needed work to get it running.
All of the kids were curious and anxious to "help", knowing this eases their own physical work load a lot when it comes harvesting hay for their cows and pony and rabbits.
The girls especially spent several hours going over the baler, cleaning and greasing it.
Thankfully it runs well, and we are anxious to try it out, come next hay crop.

and this is just Hannah's photo of her rabbit, Butterfly, this morning, just because she's cute

T-28 Trojan War Planes

We took the kids to view these loud relics at the Sheb County Airport Saturday, where they were gathering to practice formation flying.
They plan to perform in the EAA AirVenture shows later this week.
It was a treat to get up close and personal to these beautiful stars of history and their colorful pilots.

an airport guide kindly led the kids out on the tarmac to touch and view the planes

Patient Fun Day

Dr. Meinhart, the orthodontist that treats Hannah and Miles, hosted a super-fun
patient appreciation day last week!
The kids enjoyed face/arm painting, making tie dye shirts, playing corn hole, eating pizza, and...
the best of all, the dunk tank!
Their favorite was getting to dunk their own doctor!
But they enjoyed having a turn in the tank too, especially because it was a steamy 90+ day with plenty of humidity to boot.

cousin Cherith did the body art :)

Miles took a turn too!
