In the morning, after he came back from the hen house with no eggs:

Me: "Theo we don't have enough eggs to make your birthday cake!"

Hannah: "It's ok Theo, we can get some from the store."

Theo: "You can get eggs at the store??! But stores don't have chickens!!"

Theo also on his birthday, in the afternoon:

Theo: "Eli, aren't you glad we aren't having salad for dinner?"

Eli: "Yeah."

Theo: "That's why I didn't pick salad for my birthday supper."

Theo: "Mom when you hug me, you actually plug my ear. So I can't hear anything."

Theo just today: "Mom! Jack smells like a possum."

Me: "Ew. Put him outside."

Hannah: "No he doesn't! Jack smells like Maddie! He smells good!"
